Adobe Presenter is a plug-in that is available through University Technology Services.
It puts a menu item in your PowerPoint
software which enables you to add audio
(or your voice) over the presentation.
The
presentation is stored on the Adobe connect
server as a flash video (much smaller than most video formats). Entire presentations can be viewed from beginning to end by just opening the presentation, or viewers can click on an
individual slide to repeat/progress in the
order they choose.
Acrobat Connect Professional allows the
instructor to have real-time online meetings
and remote video conferences. Students,
faculty, or staff attending the class or
presentation can chat while the conference is in progress, and the presenter can answer questions by chatting back or through a verbal discussion. Sessions can be archived and viewed at a later time.
