University Technology Services offers instructional design services to all University of South Carolina faculty. We assist both faculty and teaching assistants in finding the best mix of instructional technologies ande methods to enhance teaching and learning. Our staff have broad experience with the best methodologies for traditional classroom environments, as well as innovative approaches to using the latest in educational technology.
Our staff will meet with you to assist in:
- determining an appropriate mix of technologies for course delivery and facilitating learning
- developing high-quality courses based on best practices
- incorporating the best assessment tools for educational outcomes
- incorporating pedagogical advice on teaching methods
Examples of some typical consultation topics might include: when and how to include technologies such as Blackboard, Adobe Connect, and video or audio, strategies to improve online discussion, and suggestions for the design of instructional activities.
